In Ho, the National Peace Council held a dialogue on issues concerning ewe people discrimination.

The National Peace Council organized a two-day dialogue session in Ho.


The following were issues concerning the ewe people that border on discrimination:

  • Nuisance and dehumanizing police and immigration barriers in the Volta region, 
  • employment discrimination against ewe people, 
  • comments made against ewe people by prominent politicians, 
  • lack of development in the Volta region by successive governments, 
  • heavy deployment of security personnel during voter registration exercises and other issues were raised.


A report and a communique outlining the issues were both launched and issued.
