The National Peace Council organized a two-day dialogue session in Ho.
The following were issues concerning the ewe people that border on discrimination:
- Nuisance and dehumanizing police and immigration barriers in the Volta region,
- employment discrimination against ewe people,
- comments made against ewe people by prominent politicians,
- lack of development in the Volta region by successive governments,
- heavy deployment of security personnel during voter registration exercises and other issues were raised.
A report and a communique outlining the issues were both launched and issued.
