KPANDO EDUCATIONAL MENTORSHIP PROGRAM IN FOCUS.

In our quest to safeguard the future, Salamta Army in partnership with NMS Records, Honey Music LLC and Kpando Konda for Development has mentored some basic school pupils, teachers and parents in the Kpando Municipality on Saturday 8th April 2023 at the annual Kpando Educational Mentorship Program under the theme "Creating an Enabling Environment for the Next Generation to Thrive. The Role of Parents, Teachers and Society."

The chairperson for the program, Mama Wia VIII queen mother of Kpando Dafor and the guest speaker for the occasion, Mr Franklin Bormann a lecturer at the Ho Technical University, spoke extensively on the theme and emphasized the need to work on the future we envisaged now by giving the next generation a solid foundation required to become responsible leaders.

Mr Justice Komla Komlaga of Brada Yawda fame (Musician and an entrepreneur), Mr Kwame Asiemoah Jnr. ( Politician, community development and public health expert) and Mrs Emmanuella Eyram Awude-Akoto ( An Addiction Nurse Specialist) shared their life stories with the mentees, guided them through their footsteps and encourage them to work hard to achieve greatness.




A compilation of profiles of young individuals who are performing well in their professions dubbed "Kpando Educational Mentorship Program Diary" was also launched at the event. This historic launch was the first of its kind to happen in the Kpando Municipality. This handbook will be reviewed every three years. 



Copies of the handbook were presented to some schools and the Kpando Community Library. More copies will be printed within three years and distributed among all schools in the municipality. All school pupils were encouraged to read this book, draw inspiration from it and also serve as a guide to lead them to achieve excellence.

School pupils who were at the event were presented with educational materials to support their studies. 


Some teachers were also rewarded for their efforts in bringing up these children.



The Orange Foundation led by Josephine Esinam Agboka also educated the pupils on the importance of good menstrual healthcare and each female pupil was presented with a pack of menstrual pads.

AKPINIFIA LEADS MASSIVE CLEANUP EXERCISE IN KPANDO


The Akpinifia, Okpekpewuokpe Dagadu IX, won hearts again when he led a massive cleanup exercise in the entire Akpini State (Kpando) as part of this year’s Easter celebration. The clean-up exercise which took place on Thursday, April 7, 2023, aimed to ensure that the shoulders of major roads, schools, and streets among other public places of the entire Traditional Area are clean and hygienic. The exercise included the cleaning and picking up of polythene bags, weeding, sweeping, gathering, and disposing of refuse. 



The Paramount Chief of the Akpini State, Okpekpewuokpe Dagadu IX with his Council of Elders visited some of the communities to monitor and partake in the clean-up exercise. Speaking at Aloyi, one of the suburbs of Kpando, the Akpinifia indicated that the clean-up exercise would significantly revive the ancient communal spirit of the people of the Akpini State. 



He also advocated much for  the need to keep their surroundings clean and tidy; he further admonished against disposing off rubbish indiscriminately to prevent diseases.



 Okpekpewuokpe further pleaded with the citizens to make a behavioral change to keep the environment clean and prevent communicable diseases. 



His Royal Majesty also seized the opportunity to invite all citizens of the Akpini State, home and abroad to be part of this year’s Easter celebration under the theme “Rebuilding Akpini in Love and Unity.” 



Other activities as part of the celebration are a health walk from the Dagadu’s Palace to Agbenoxoe on Saturday, April 8, 2023.  There would be live band performances in the evenings of April 8 and 9, 2023, spearheaded by the Agbaza Group. Easter Sunday, April 9, 2023, climaxes the celebration with massive borborbor performances and intercommunity fun games. Akpinifia promises a handsome reward to the community that will emerge victorious in the various fun games such as cards, adito (oware), draught (dame), thug of peace, sack race, eating competition, lime and spoon, planks, etc.

Making an Impact: Sponsors and Organizers Appreciated for Successful 1st Agric and Entrepreneurship Youth Summit

  



The power of education cannot be overemphasized, especially when it comes to empowering the youth. This was demonstrated in a successful program held in the Kpando constituency, which was aimed at educating and motivating young people. The event was a huge success, and the organizers and sponsors were appreciated for their efforts in making it a reality.


Oliver Abada, Divine Selase Agbeti, Conrad Kakraba, Hunter Zola Yesutor, Aloyi Koffi GH, Sebastian Deh, Akoto Amos, Real Ayah, Patience Adjei, Evang Raphael A. Bernard, Eddy Famous, and others were thanked for their active role in organizing the event. The youths of Kpando constituency also expressed their gratitude and appreciation for the opportunity to learn and grow.

Personal development and training are essential for young people, and the organizers of the program emphasized this point. They advised the youths to utilize the opportunity to enrich themselves and stop sitting on the fence. The future belongs to those who are proactive and take advantage of every opportunity to develop themselves.


The success of the program has left a lasting impact on the youth of Kpando constituency. They have been inspired and motivated to become better versions of themselves. The organizers and sponsors have shown that they care about the future of the youth and are willing to invest in their growth and development.


As we look forward to another mega summit in December, we can only hope that more young people will take advantage of such opportunities to learn and grow. We must all work together to create an enabling environment for the youth to thrive. This is the only way we can build a better future for ourselves and generations to come.


In conclusion, the success of the Kpando constituency youth summit 2023 is a testament to the power of education and the impact it can have on young people. We must continue to invest in the education and development of our youth if we hope to build a better future for our communities and country at large. Once again, we appreciate the organizers and sponsors for their hard work and dedication to making the event a success.

Join Queen Norvi in launching menstrual hygiene project in Kpando Municipality schools

 



My name is Queen Norvi, Face of Akpini 2022. Please join me on this Saturday the 8th of April 2023 in Kpando Gadza at exactly 11am as we officially launch my project “Menstrual Hygiene”  




This project will be done in all Junior High and Basic schools in the Kpando Municipality. 

Having been able to execute the first phase in Kpando Dzoanti, Gadza and Agudzi schools by sharing sanitary pads to all the teenage girls and as well educating them on menstrual hygiene.

Starting at exactly 500am, the Asafo Walk will begin from Konda, Dzoanti, and Gbefi junction through to Zongo, Gabi, Municipal Assembly, and back to the Stadium, where there will be an invigorating Aerobics Exercise and a refreshing chilled coconut drink for all participants. As you walk through the streets of Akpini, take in the sights, sounds, and energy of this vibrant community, while engaging in meaningful conversations with fellow walkers.


But that's not all! The AKPINI ASAFO Walk is more than just a fun-filled exercise event; it's an opportunity to raise awareness about social issues affecting the welfare of youths in our society. Queen Norvi of Face of Akpini will use this occasion to highlight her foundation's goal of empowering women and the girl child through good menstrual hygiene. The foundation has launched a project aimed at meeting the menstrual needs of women and the girl child in Akpini communities.

Attention everyone! Are you interested in supporting a project that aims to educate and provide menstrual hygiene products to teenage girls in Kpando Municipality? Then, mark your calendars for the 8th of April 2023 and join Queen Norvi, the Face of Akpini 2022, as she launches her project "Menstrual Hygiene".


The project aims to reach all Junior High and Basic schools in the Kpando Municipality, with the first phase already executed successfully in Kpando Dzoanti, Gadza, and Agudzi schools. Queen Norvi, along with her team at FOA, shared sanitary pads with the teenage girls and educated them on menstrual hygiene.
