In an era where constituents increasingly demand visible development and accountable leadership, the Member of Parliament for Krachi East Constituency, Hon. Nelson Kofi Djabab, continues to distinguish himself through practical interventions and people-centred governance.
From job creation and education to healthcare, sanitation, agriculture, energy, and infrastructure, the MP's first year in office has been marked by an impressive record of achievements that have directly impacted thousands of lives across the constituency.
Creating Opportunities Through Employment
One of the most pressing challenges facing young people in Ghana today is unemployment. Recognising this reality, Hon. Nelson Kofi Djabab has actively facilitated employment opportunities for constituents in several state institutions, including the National Disaster Management Organisation (NADMO), National Health Insurance Authority (NHIA), Ghana Education Service (GES), State Insurance Company (SIC), Electricity Company of Ghana (ECG), Passport Office, and the Krachi East Municipal Assembly.
His commitment to youth empowerment also extended to the Youth Employment Agency (YEA), where he facilitated recruitment into various programs such as Community Protection Assistance, Community Fire Service Assistance, Community Medical First Responders, and Prison Officer Assistance.
Beyond securing these opportunities, he demonstrated further concern by providing financial support to recruited personnel after their training, easing their transition into service.
Improving Access to Clean Water and Sanitation
Access to safe drinking water remains a critical need in many communities. Under Hon. Djabab's leadership, numerous boreholes across the constituency were repaired and restored to functionality.
Communities including Yariga No. 2, Okanease, Zoranu, Pumpi, Kplesu, Ataki, Dadoto, Katanga, and several others have benefited from these interventions.
Additional support was provided for the installation of new boreholes and the maintenance of public sanitation facilities, helping improve hygiene and public health standards throughout the municipality.
Strengthening Healthcare Delivery
Healthcare remains one of the strongest pillars of Hon. Djabab's development agenda.
His interventions have included the renovation of the Kpelema Health Centre, support for the Tumikorpe Health Project, provision of medical supplies to health facilities, and donation of hospital equipment such as beds, delivery beds, and triage stands.
The MP also facilitated the construction of a maternity ward at Asukawkaw and an emergency ward at the Dambai Health Centre through strategic partnerships.

In addition, free health screening exercises were organised for residents, while the Krachi East Health Directorate received ten laptops to enhance administrative efficiency.
These initiatives collectively contribute to improved healthcare delivery and better patient outcomes within the constituency.
Investing in Education and Human Capital Development
Perhaps nowhere is Hon. Djabab's vision more evident than in the education sector.
Understanding that education remains the foundation for long-term development, he has invested significantly in improving learning conditions and supporting students.
Among his notable interventions are:
- Provision of 250 pieces of school furniture to ten basic schools.
- Payment of tertiary education fees for 80 students.
- Facilitation of full GETFund scholarships for 11 students.
- Donation of educational materials worth thousands of cedis.
- Distribution of mattresses and chop boxes to needy students.
- Supply of 1,700 mathematical sets and educational materials for BECE candidates.
- Donation of 3,600 textbooks, 4,000 pens, and pencils.
- Installation of computers in ICT laboratories.
- Support for Dambai College of Education through infrastructure lobbying and educational sponsorship.
These interventions are helping to create an enabling environment for quality teaching and learning while reducing financial barriers for students.
Expanding Access to Electricity
Several communities within Krachi East have also benefited from rural electrification projects facilitated by the MP.
Twenty-four communities have seen electricity extended to their areas, while additional communities have received streetlights, solar panels, and power support systems.
The donation of a generator to the Tekpelepedzi community further highlights his commitment to ensuring reliable energy access for residents.
Supporting Agriculture and Local Livelihoods
Agriculture remains the backbone of many households in Krachi East.
To support farmers and improve productivity, Hon. Djabab facilitated the distribution of 1,400 bags of NPK fertiliser and provided knapsack spraying machines to farmers across the constituency.

Promoting Sports and Youth Development
Recognising the importance of sports in youth development, the MP has consistently supported schools and community teams through donations of footballs, jerseys, and sporting equipment.
These contributions continue to encourage talent development, teamwork, and healthy lifestyles among young people.
Strengthening Security and Community Safety
Security infrastructure has not been left behind.
Hon. Djabab donated a structure for the Fire Service post at Katanga and provided financial support amounting to GH₵15,000 to strengthen emergency response services within the municipality.
A Leadership Focused on Results
The achievements recorded between January 2025 and January 2026 paint the picture of a leader determined to deliver meaningful development to his people.
Whether through education, healthcare, employment, agriculture, water, energy, or infrastructure, Hon. Nelson Kofi Djabab's interventions demonstrate a commitment to improving lives and creating opportunities across Krachi East.
