GENESIS OF AGBOZUME
After Aga left his Ŋɔtsɛ friend Kli the founder of KLIKOR and the Son Of Tɔgbi Ekpe and went and settled at BOMIGO in early 1790....
Awanyedor and Akaga also migrated from KETA and met Kli and his people later around 1792 after KETA WAR.
Kli decided to give them an isolated place and he ordered them to move to the bush( Miyi míanɔ soame). And they named them SOMÉAWO.
As time passed by, the elders of Soméawo decided to purify and fortified the land for wars that may pop up. They sent for a great Soothsayer from a current place called Benin to perform the rites.
After the purification and the fortification rites, the head of the ram used was buried as they were directed by the gods. Some days after, miracles and wonders happened.... The horn on the head of the ram got germinated.
They sent for the soothsayer to come back and consult the gods about what happened. After the consultation, the gods ordered them to make that town the capital and the strong host of Somé.
The horn that got germinated is now a full-grown tree located adjacent to the Somé Makɔsɔ Palace. And it's called 'Ana Sokutsi'
Here comes the name AGBOZUME
( Agbo ƒe zume).
Any corrections, additions, and subtractions are highly welcome.
